1st Annual Reveal Party Winner Announced

Last night at the taping of her RevealStory, Reveal #202 was presented with an Award for being our First Annual RevealStory Winner.

Reveal #202, Jillian, went from 132 to 115lbs, size 10/12 to a size 0 and 24.5% to 10% bodyfat in her 12 Week RevelationFitness Challenge.

6 week in when she was down 15 lbs and fitting into a size 2, Jillian almost lost her life.

She survived the ordeal - but not without hardship. Determined to continue, Jillian returned to her Challenge just one month after she she hit the 'pause' button, completing her RevFit Program - and surpassing her goals - in 16 Weeks rather than 12.

Her Coach Keith Outlaw was on-site at her taping last night when RevelationFitness Co-Owner Jim Nettles showed up unannounced to present her with the Award.

In addition to free RevFit merch and a free 3-month membership to our new gym in Austin, Jillian will be the Guest of Honor at our 1st Annual RevealParty to be held in November.

The other winners of the RevealStory contest have not yet been announced.

So you want to compete to be our next RevealStory Winner? Your first step is to come out of the woodwork and join us at a free bootcamp on Saturday, October 23rd at 9 am at Stephen F Austin High School. This CommunityWorkout is open to the public and RevFit clients are encouraged to bring friends. Prizes including gift certificates will be awarded to Top Male & Top Female clients and anyone who signs up for any of our Programs.

A Word for the Day

Sometimes a word is worth 1,000 pictures.

"142 and fitting in size 4 dresses today!!!!! I love you!" - Heather, down from 175 lbs and a size 12/14, via text.

Heather is not 'special'. She just made a choice and has acted on that choice consistently for almost 5 months now.

Make today the first day of the rest of your life. And email if we can help in any way: mariah@revelationfit.com or jim@revelationfit.com.

Make it a great Sunday filled with faith, love, hope, community, family and friends.

Dear Seattle, Please Hold Your Favorite DJ Kevin Kniestedt Accountable

"Some of you know, but not many, that 9 weeks ago I started a health and fitness program with a company called Revelation Fitness based out of Austin, TX.

I write this note now, because I am 75% done, and have three weeks to go. I was comfortable with the amount of people that knew about me doing this, but now, with such little time left, I need to be out of that comfort zone. I'm not looking for accountability from others. Instead, I pressure. I want the possibility that if I see any of you in a bar or restaurant over the next three weeks, that you can silently (or out loud) judge me for being there. If I don't look in the best shape of my life when this is all over and you see me, I want you to tell me so.

But I don't want any of that to happen, which is why I am writing this now, which is motivation to make sure things work out as they should.

I dropped 25 pounds in the first seven weeks. I was this weight when I started college, and until now, never came back to it. The past couple weeks (and the next few) are dedicated to building muscle tone that I've never had in my life.

Revelation Fit is an amazing, life-changing company.

It is accountability, it is health, it is fitness, it is long term. You leave your former self behind.

Because these people know what they are doing, and are doing it because they are passionate, I too became passionate. There are no excuses, just a completely shaped mind and body.

You learn so much, not only about how to eat and how to work out, but also about your mind and your body. You are taught that you CAN do it, and that it IS possible.

Do I get tired in the gym? Yes. But then I lift some more, because no matter what results I've created so far, I've learned that I'm not there yet. Did I miss certain foods that were awful and toxic for my body? Honestly? For about a day. My body craved the shit I was used to, and now craves the good stuff that has helped me drop all this weight. Am I ever hungry? No. I eat 5 times a day.

Is it worth it? It is worth it from every angle you could possibly look at it. It was, and continues to be, the best thing I have ever done for my physical - and in so many ways - mental self.

Today I feel so much better about how I look and feel, but I keep going because "I'm not there yet". And to be honest, even when the program is over, the program wont be over. Revelation Fit has totally changed my mind and attitude towards health and fitness that I can't see myself going back to drive-thru burger places and sitting on my ass.

Revelation Fit is based in Austin, but offers online programs, and will be opening branches in Seattle and Washington D.C. shortly. I don't doubt that because of how successful they are, that they will have locations nationwide in no time.

If you are interested in knowing more, let me know. It changed my life. And again, if you see me slacking over the next three weeks, I expect to be judged."

Announcing the Winner of the Breakup With Your Before Picture Contest

The RevelationFitness Breakup With Your Before Picture Contest

Grand Prize Winner, Kelle Schiesler

"I am 33 years old. I am a behavior therapist and work with children with autism. I spend 3+ hours a day in the car. It has been too easy to drive through somewhere for lunch everyday. I am embarrassed to let you see the picture that is attached to this email - no one else has seen it.

I am ready!! I can't believe I've let myself get this way.

I have a 2 year old daughter and I want to have another. I don't want to be the mom that is panting behind them at the playground. I want to set a healthy example for her.

I avoid having my picture taken - we just came back from vacation and I realized I have no pictures of me with any of my family members. It looks like my daughter and my husband went on vacation together and had a great time... without me.

I'm tired of feeling like crap. I have back problems (spondylolisthesis), my knees and ankles hurt... I'm a mess.

I need this, I'm ready."

Congratulations Kelle you're our Grand Prize Winner in the RevelationFitness Breakup With Your Before Picture Contest.

For the next 3 months, 3 days a week your trainer will come to your house for a 1-hour session. Outside the session you receive nutrition programming and counseling with the help of our online software, cardio homework assignments guided by your heart rate monitor, and weekly program tweaks depending on your goals and motivation level.

You will also receive a two-hour orientation session in which we get you set up on the software, heart rate monitor, assess your goals, determine your program trajectory, do your bodyfat, measurements, and before pictures, do a vision board for your program, and just generally make a plan.

Finally, you will receive a copy of the RevFit Playbook, a one-year Calorie King membership and a Polar heart rate monitor.

First Runner-Up, Dawn Scherer

Rather than paraphrase - or try to retell - Dawn's story, I am going to let her do it on her 'Breakup With Your Before Picture' Revelation Nation Transformation Story.

Suffice it to say: when Jim and I created the contest we only intended for there to be one winner. What we did not plan for was a deluge of applicants from out of town.

Then came Dawn's story, which touched our hearts in a way that I won't try to explain - I'll just let her tell it on her Reveal Story.

Since she is in Seattle, Washington Dawn will be receiving the First Runner Up Grand Prize of a 12 Week Online Reveal.

Congratulations to our Winners! We will be contacting you this week to get you set up on your Program - and get your stories on film! I hope you're both READY TO RUMBLE!!

Reveal #91 - A Classic Before Picture Breakup

We are a few days late on our announcement because we are DEADLOCKED in a tie. Jim is absolutely dead-set on his selection, and I am absolutely dead-set on mine. I think that today's discussions will be... interesting to say the least.

Here's some other motivation to get you through today.

Coach Keith blogs on wishing he could... when he can't. Read it here.

And after much anticipation over who would be picked to star in our new ad, Revelation Fitness reveals its fall ad for Austin Fit Magazine:

And finally, after months of requests from clients in my hometown of Seattle, Washington and adopted second-hometown of Washington, DC, Jim & I have decided to take Revelation Fitness MultiLocation. Our GM's have already been picked - both have done their own Reveal's to astounding success; we will be introducing them to you in the weeks & month ahead. Both locations will be in pre-sales for the month of October, and will Grand Open on November 1st.

I decided to open my heart a little bit on the decision to go MultiLocation today on Facebook,
and thought I'd share it here too. Enjoy:
