At Yankee Stadium

Someone once told me that if I could get over caring about others' opinions & feelings about me I would move mountains.

This person said that haters are always going to hate and try to dig their teeth into you - no matter what. I spent so much time worrying why so-and-so didn't like me and what I'd done to such-and-such.

This person pointed out that you can judge an individual's success by their results.

Opinion, he reminded me, is what man thinks of you; character is what God & angels think of you.

This someone pointed all of this out right before he handed me the keys to what would become the most successful gym in the country.

Right after the CEO of my company looked me in the eye and told me he didn't like me.

I'm taking those keys back.
