It’s a Holi'day' not a Holi'month'
You have been in the grocery store and already seen the shelves stocked with holiday staples...pecan pie, dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, and more. All these start to look really good when you haven’t had them in a while.
I can already hear it: “I’ll start my diet after Thanksgiving, or after the Holidays”. Next thing you know, you’ve gained 10-15lbs from the holidays... or should I say holimonths? It doesn’t have to be this way. If you make the time, are prepared, and hold yourself accountable to your health and goals this time of year can be rewarding. Make the time to exercise, prepare your meals/snacks, and know where you stand with your progress. The average holiday meal is approximately 3,000 calories. Arm yourself with knowledge of how many calories are in your favorite dishes.
Taking steps towards your goal now that’s something to shout about!
Remember this if nothing else: “pick and choose your battles."
